Want shorter Oscar speeches? Chris Rock has a 'shocking' plan

Chris Rock, host of Oscars on Feb. 28, 2016, has plan to cutting of long speeches.

Attention, Oscar nominees: You've been warned.

Oscars host Chris Rock released another teaser promo for Sunday night's 88th annual Academy Awards, spoofing a "shocking" crackdown on droning-on speeches by winners.

Never mind the get-off-the-stage musical cues; Rock says in the clip the Academy is "letting me do things my way this Oscars. Here's my solution when someone talks too long."

Then he demonstrates on Jimmy Kimmel, who will host his 11th annual after-Oscars special on ABC.

"Get ready for the shortest show in history," Rock promises.

Rock is all about pointed comedy. Last month, he called the Oscars "the white BET awards" in a tweet.

On Friday, he tweeted his response to calls that he represent the black entertainers who would not be in attendance due to the #Oscassowhite controversy.

“See you Sunday,” the comedian tweeted along with the hashtags, #blackout and #oscars, and a video of television static.
