It's about to go down.

On Thursday, Steve Harvey used his platform on his eponymous morning program, calling for Oscar host Chris Rock to be “bigger and blacker” and to represent for the score of black entertainers who would not be in attendance.

Early Friday, Rock took to Twitter and gave Harvey the equivalent of The Nod. “See you Sunday,” the comedian tweeted along with the hashtags, #blackout and #oscars, and a video of television static.

Rock initially told The Hollywood Reporter in December that he wanted to host the 88th annual Academy Awards because "it just seemed like a good time." Tyrese later implored the comedian to step down from the show following the shutout of actors of color from the major acting categories and the renewed outcry behind the #OscarsSoWhite trend.

While Rock did not publicly respond to the call, producers shared he was rewriting his monologue to address the issue. Rock also released promos that took subtle jabs at Ridley Scott’s The Martian and the "White BET Awards."

With the Oscars just two days away, #lettucepray he pulls no punches.
