LOS ANGELES — For one day a year, the Oscar green room is the hottest bar in the world.

Feet away from the stage of the 88th Academy Awards at the Dolby Theatre, the green room is open to stars either coming off or just before walking onto the Oscars stage. Sometimes they bring their friend or spouse along and big-time Hollywood executives might talk their way in.

But on Sunday, it's wall-to-wall Hollywood A-listers.

Last year, the place was hopping even before the Oscars started, with Kevin Hart, Jennifer Lopez, Dakota Johnson and host Neil Patrick Harris just a few of the names stopping by in black tie and ball gowns.

On Wednesday, the Academy unveiled the 2016 green room, which has the look of a Hollywood Hills home — with an American and European influence (European watch company Rolex is the official sponsor).

Shelves in the main room are filled with framed classic-movie moments. There's a burgundy Maxalto Solatium sofa facing what will be a very well-utilized bar.

There's also a floor-to-ceiling lightbox, which gives the illusion of a picture window overlooking a Los Angeles panorama (from a Hills point of view, naturally).

The green room also features a traditional separate lounge where smoking is permitted — next to a minimalist gas-fueled fireplace. All the better for Leonardo DiCaprio to finally cook that raw bison liver from The Revenant.
