How to watch the Houston Republican debate

Donald Trump speaks during the Feb. 13, 2016, debate in South Carolina.

Congratulations — you've almost made it through an impossibly long gap between debates.

So much has happened since Republicans last gathered on the debate stage on Feb. 13 in South Carolina. Donald Trump won the South Carolina primary and Nevada caucuses. Jeb Bush dropped out of the race. Burger King started selling hot dogs.

Five days before Super Tuesday stands to shake things up again, the candidates will meet on the debate stage for the 10th time. Here's our viewer's guide.

When does it start?

The action kicks off at 8:30 p.m. ET Thursday. It'll air on CNN, along with a livestream on CNN.com. Telemundo, a co-sponsor of the debate, will also show it live in Spanish.

Where will the debate be held?

The debate will take place at the Moores Opera House at the University of Houston. Texas is one of the 11 states holding GOP contests on Tuesday, and Sen. Ted Cruz is gunning for a win in his home state.

Who will be in the debate?

The Republican field, once a whopping 17 candidates, is down to just five, all of whom will take the stage Thursday: Cruz, Donald Trump, Marco Rubio, John Kasich and Ben Carson.

This is the TENTH debate? Please tell us it's not the last one!

Of course not! In fact, a Salt Lake City debate was just added to the schedule. That means there are three more Republican debates on the calendar next month, with the possibility of a final one in April in New York. (There are also four more Democratic debates scheduled.)

Who will moderate?

CNN's Wolf Blitzer will moderate; Telemundo's Maria Celeste Arrarás, Salem talk-radio host Hugh Hewitt and CNN chief political correspondent Dana Bash will join Blitzer as questioners.
