'Justice League' movie to begin filming in April
Batman and Superman are battling it out on the big screen in a month, but at least they'll be working together with some superfriends this spring.
Justice League — Part 1, starring Henry Cavill as the Man of Steel and Ben Affleck as the Dark Knight, begins filming in England April 11, according to a Warner Bros. announcement via Entertainment Weekly.
The superhero teamup film, DC's answer to Marvel's mega-blockbuster Avengers films, will also feature a number of heroes who will be introduced in the upcoming Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice (in theaters March 25): Wonder Woman (Gal Gadot), Aquaman (Jason Momoa), The Flash (Ezra Miller) and Cyborg (Ray Fisher).
Like the previous film Man of Steel and Batman v Superman, Justice League will be directed by Zack Snyder.

“I love Batman and Superman and Wonder Woman, but having Flash and Aquaman and Cyborg and to see them all standing together, it’s a pretty dorky and cool experience for me,” Snyder told USA TODAY in December. “Basically every one of those characters has a logo that you would recognize without them standing there, and that’s a hard thing to achieve in this pop-culture world."
Affleck said he's already got a rapport with his fellow on-screen heroes. "You can kind of feel how the actors are used to one another (from Man of Steel) and it seems like kind of a cool thing. I have that relationship with actors from this film so I’m looking forward to seeing them again."
Also on Monday evening, Snyder tweeted a picture of him and Momoa from Leavesden Studios in England, with mockups of the Flash and Aquaman's costumes behind them.
