5 things we learned about 'Friends' from NBC's James Burrows tribute

On Sunday night, NBC aired its special, Must See TV: An All-Star Tribute to James Burrows. Many casts showed up to pay tribute to the director/producer, but we were most excited to see nearly all of our Friends together on a couch again.

Lisa Kudrow, David Schwimmer, Courteney Cox, Matt LeBlanc, and Jennifer Aniston sat for an interview with Andy Cohen, and here are some surprising things that we learned:

1. Remember The One with All the Poker? Apparently, Burrows encouraged the cast to get to know each other and play poker, and then they turned it into an episode.

2. For the first season, the cast watched the show together and gave each other suggestions, a tip that Kudrow said Cox picked up from a previous acting gig.

"Courteney started off saying, 'Listen, y'all, I was on Seinfeld and they all help each other so just let's help each other.'"

3. Kudrow, Cox, and Aniston had lunch together every day for 10 years while they were filming the show. What did they eat? Something that Cox called the "Jennifer salad" that Aniston took no credit for.

4. Despite that brilliant teaser that NBC crafted, Kudrow said that she did not sign a contract saying that she wouldn't sleep with her co-stars. The other actors on-stage stayed pretty mum.

5. Apparently, some of the other characters were inspired by shows that Burrows previously worked on. He told Cox, that Monica was Mary Tyler Moore, Kudrow that she was Reverend Jim from Taxi, and LeBlanc that he was Tony Danza's character from Taxi.

It's kind of nice to know that you can meet a group of Friends in 1994 and still learn new things about them.
