Justin Bieber tried, and failed, to cover up his Selena Gomez tattoo

Today in terrible tattoo ideas: permanently inking the face of your significant other on your body, when she's a super-famous pop star, and you're a super-super-famous pop star.

We've never known Justin Bieber to be the most logical of thinkers, and in a new video for GQ, he expands on the stories behind his many tattoos, including one suspicious-looking, long-haired angel on his wrist.

Yep, that's CLEARLY Selena Gomez:

"Uh...that's my ex-girlfriend," a shirtless Bieber tells the camera. "I tried to cover her face up with some shading, but people still know."

So...could this mean that Selena has a Justin tattoo we don't know about? Mysteries, mysteries...
