Lady Gaga goes full Ziggy Stardust for David Bowie tribute

David Bowie's death touched many fellow artists, including Lady Gaga, who seems to have acutely felt the loss. Like her late idol, Gaga is a master of the character performance and costume change.

She pulled out all the stops during a night-long tribute, starting with a red carpet look from Marc Jacobs complete with coat, body suit and giant red claw shoes that were a clear reference to Ziggy Stardust. She capped the look with bright red locks and sky blue eyeshadow.

During a musical montage that started with "Space Oddity" and "Changes," and ended with "Heroes," Gaga had another two costume changes that worked perfectly with her choreographed performance. An apropos reflection on the king of reinvention.
