Here's the brutally funny joke Lionel Richie tells Stevie Wonder
What's a few jokes between friends - especially when those friends are Lionel Richie and Stevie Wonder?
30 years after We are the World, Wonder has nothing but praise about his friend Richie, who was honored by the Grammys Saturday as their MusiCares Person of the Year by an all-star evening of performances.
Well, in between a few jokes Richie made at his friend's expense.
"He's always telling me ... 'I dare you to drive my car.' I say, 'Give me a Tesla and I'll show you.' "
Yikes!
Luckily, it's all love between the two pop greats, as Stevie sang his friend's praises (not literally—that would come later in the night!) on the red carpet, after strolling down accompanied by Lenny Kravitz.
"He's a great musician...I feel very very happy to know that we wrote a song that changed the world, We Are The World," he said. "I'm honored to be a part of honoring him tonight."
