A Philadelphia judge has ruled that Meek Mill must serve three months of house arrest for violating his parole last fall.

A Philadelphia judge has sentenced rapper Meek Mill to three months of house arrest for violating the terms of his parole.

The 28-year-old rapper, whose real name is Robert Williams, will be prohibited from working and may only leave his home to do community service benefiting adults rather than youths.

Common Pleas judge Genece Brinkley also extended his probationary period to six years.

His legal problems began with a 2009 drug and gun case. He has already been to jail once on Brinkley's order.

Prosectors argued that he violated his parole by making unapproved trips, including one to New York for a concert and several to meet girlfriend Nicki Minaj around the country.
