Colin Jost thinks Larry David's 'SNL' impression has helped Bernie

It's election season, which means that it's really Saturday-Night-Live-parodying-election-season season. And perhaps the greatest gift the show has given the world since all the 2016 insanity began is Larry David's Bernie Sanders impression (even Bernie is impressed by it).

But besides being absolutely hilarious, SNL's Weekend Update host and writer Colin Jost thinks that the impression has actually made a bit of an impact in the acutal campaign world. Maybe just a few more people are feeling the Bern since David step into his shoes. He explained to Seth Meyers:

"Larry's so likable that in a crazy, curmudgeon way, it makes (people go): 'Oh, Bernie Sanders, I've always liked him."

Jost also had a little fun with a certain Republican presidential candidate's second-place finish in the Iowa Caucuses, and we have a teeny, tiny inkling that that may show up in some way on SNL this weekend.
