Kanye makes waves with 'unauthorized' 'Rolling Stone' cover

Once again, Kanye West has proven he is the master of self-promotion after he shared a Photoshopped image of himself on the cover of Rolling Stone Wednesday. In his accompanying tweet, Kanye credited Tyler, The Creator, as the photographer behind the unauthorized cover, which features Kanye's elusive smile and perhaps the most pressing question of our time: "Kanye: Does he like mustard?" (But seriously, you would think the stained Polo in Kanye's All Falls Down video answers that question.)

As the spread began circulating on social media, Rolling Stone noticed it and took to Twitter to clarify, writing, "While we love Kanye, and have many mustard-related questions for him, this is not an actual cover of Rolling Stone."

Yeah. NOT YET.

Shortly after Rolling Stone issued its response, Kanye tweeted: "I bet you this still becomes the cover though…Let’s do another poll…..#trollingstone." He then asked his followers how many felt the publication should move forward with the cover. The poll has since garnered more 72,000 votes, with the majority of pollees submitting an affirmative vote.

And Kanye didn't stop there. After Billboard reported on the incident, the musician picked apart their headline, writing, "Aye Billboard you could use the term 'unauthorized' but never refer to anything that me and Tyler do as fake out of respect to musicians…"

Right. We're not sure if Kanye was really miffed or just trolling, but we're leaning toward the latter since he's all about "positive energy" and "blessings" now.
