A so-called 'Botox bandit' bolted out of a Cherry Creek, Colo., doctor's office, leaving behind a $900 bill.

A man is accused of stiffing a Cherry Creek, Colo., doctor's office on a $900 bill for botox.

The man gave bogus medical and contact information to Vitahl Medical Aesthetics, making it hard for police to track him down. But the office took multiple photos of him, which he agreed to, before the injections.

The alleged thief went into the office last Thursday for $1,200 in services. Those were on special for around $900. He was injected with Botox and Sculptra, another type of wrinkle treatment.

When it came time to pay, his credit card didn't work. The woman at the front desk asked him to leave an identification card after he said he would leave to get cash. He ran out the door instead and has not been seen since.

"Nobody was sure what to do in the beginning and nobody really wanted to call the cops," said Tahl Humes, the Vitahl medical director. "I think all of us hoped that he was going to come back, that really we just misunderstood and he had run out the door and really did go to get his ID and was going to get cash but it didn't turn out that way."

Humes said she's been in business for 10 years and she has never seen something like this. She said it's not just about the money, but patient care. Her office cannot follow up with the man after the procedure because he left fake information.

The office will make changes when it comes to future patients. Humes said her office will photocopy identification cards up front and patients will have to pay for some procedures before they are completed.
